Introducing: C3fit® IN-pulse

Streamlined Wearables for Monitoring Health & Fitness Data Breakthrough clothing technology seamlessly tracks heart rate to smart phones

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 14, 2015) – The evolutionary C3fit® IN-pulse wearable collection adds an entirely new dimension to training, every day workouts and general health regimens.

Launched this month in its native Japan by parent Goldwin, Inc., the C3fit® IN-pulse takes Wearables to a new level through an innovative concept that merges clothing with technology. By wearing the shirt, it allows for a seamless, highly-effective way to accurately monitor and measure heart rate.

Goldwin will preview C3fit® IN-pulse to U.S. retailers at the Outdoor  Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, January 21-24. (Booth #38133)

Although wearable devices exist in the form of watches and heart belts, there has been little innovation in wearable clothing until now. With watches, it is often difficult to acquire a stable result since the device is not close to the heart. And belts can become loose or tight during activity, also making it harder to gauge.

What’s unique about C3fit® IN-pulse:

You actually "wear" the monitor. There are no additional belts or watches or wires. The wearable sensor securely attaches to your C3fit® IN-pulse shirt.

Collaboration between Goldwin and three major firms - Toray Industries, Nippon Telephone & Telegraph Corporation (NTT), and NTT DOCOMO - proves C3fit® is the most advanced technical brand in Japan.

Once set up, C3fit® IN-pulse records your health and training data on your smart phone. C3fit® IN-pulse Shirts are stitched with hitoe™, a nanofiber with conducting polymer material developed and marketed jointly by Toray Industries and NTT.

Since the hitoe fabric itself picks up bio-information of the body, it doesn’t bother the user’s movement and stays comfortable long after an intense workout.

Founded in 1951, Goldwin® originated as a family business, producing hiking socks and assorted accessories.  Sensing a growing consumer interest in sports, Goldwin switched to the manufacturing of sports apparel three years later.  Today, Goldwin is one of the industry's leading producers of high-end sports apparel for a multitude of sports, including skiing, outdoor running, and cycling.  Goldwin is renowned for its technological advances in fabric and silhouette designs.  A publicly-traded company (Tokyo Stock Exchange), Goldwin, Inc. posted consolidated earnings of 54.8 billion yen (about $553 million) for its fiscal year ending March 31.
